Destrega is an old Playstation 1 game that came out in 1999. When I was much younger, my friends and I always used to play this game and have a blast. We decided, hey let’s grab the game off the net and try it out again.

So today, 12 years since the last time, we played the game. We were having so much fun that we played nearly 4 hours straight. 

Destrega is a crazy fighting style game where you charge up energy attacks to hurl at your opponent. The times you charge up influences how strong your character attacks, or how many attacks you throw out, or lots of other things. Turns out Destrega is a pretty complicated game, but it’s pretty fun! It does have it’s faults though.

It’s full of unfair things happening. There are 2-3 characters in the game that are way more overpowering than the other characters, there’s random invisible walls that will block your attacks from coming out or restrict your movement, and up close hand to hand fights are incredibly glitchy, to the point where someone can fully combo you, then throw out their super special attack and nearly kill you, or in the middle of you giving out a combo the other character miraculously gives out of stun and then combos you! Not to mention when you fall on the ground after being attacked it takes 5 or so seconds to get up and your opponent can fully charge up and damage you harshly.

The game is fun, but you can’t take it seriously.
