After classes I went back to my car and found this. My dad’s laptop, which I was borrowing, and a camera I was borrowing from the university were both stolen from my back seat. 

I’m honestly just really amazed that this happened. I never even thought that something like this would happen to me, and both things that were stolen were not even mine. I always throw my stuff in the back seat and never take a second thought, but now the best I can do is to start keeping my stuff in the trunk from now on. 

I went to the police station, but they basically told me there’s nothing they can really do about it, and to contact my car insurance company to see if this is covered or not.

My father was very sympathetic and was just glad that I was safe. There’s a password on his laptop so no one will be accessing his info any time soon. As for the camera, it’s property of the university and I talked to one of the head guys and they want to talk to me next week… it may end up being that I have to pay them back for the camera since it was in my responsibility, but honestly I’m not sure yet.
