Went to the shooting range at the military camp next to Mubarek Al-Kabeer tonight. My friend and brother wanted to go, so I tagged along with them. 

I have shot a gun before, my uncle’s M9 (pictured), so I knew all the basic safety precautions, still though, I decided to go through the mini tutorial from one of the guys there to show me how to do everything correctly. The guys working that were really nice and enthusiastic, and their instructions we’re super clear. 

First gun I shot was a 9mm Beretta. Low recoil and decent accuracy. I did pretty good at 5m with all but 1 shot on target. 

Next gun I shot was an M9, the same as my uncles, and I liked it much better. It has about the same action and recoil as the Beretta, but I feel it’s more accurate. I shot the M9 at 10m, and did pretty decent. Most of my shots were on target, but there were a couple that were off. I need more training and need to find a good stance as I felt my stance was pretty horrible. 

Overall it was really fun. It was only 4kd to shoot 2 magazines for the 9mm, and the 40cal guns are 5kd for 2 magazines.
